1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Crime Data Analytics ("Platform," "Service," "we," "our," or "us"), operated by AlerTaraQC. By accessing or using this Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and AlerTaraQC. Your continued use of the Platform signifies your acceptance of these Terms and any modifications thereto.
2. Description of Service
Crime Data Analytics is a web-based platform designed to collect, analyze, visualize, and manage crime-related data for AlerTaraQC. The Platform provides:
- Crime data visualization and analytics
- Trend analysis by crime type, location, and time period
- Data management tools for authorized administrators
- Dashboard and reporting features
- Secure authentication via email/password or Google OAuth
The Service is intended for use by authorized personnel of AlerTaraQC and related government agencies for official purposes only.
3. User Accounts and Registration
3.1 Account Creation
To access the Platform, you must create an account by:
- Providing a valid email address and password, or
- Authenticating through Google OAuth
3.2 Account Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use this Platform
- You must be an authorized employee or representative of AlerTaraQC or a related government agency
- You must have legitimate business purposes for accessing crime data
3.3 Account Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- You must not share your account with others
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
3.4 Account Types and Roles
- Super Admin: Full access to all platform features and user management
- Admin: Access to data analytics and reporting features
3.5 Account Status
Your account may be in one of the following statuses:
- Active: Full access to the Platform
- Inactive: Temporarily disabled; access restricted
- Suspended: Suspended due to violation of Terms; access denied
4. Acceptable Use Policy
4.1 Permitted Uses
You may use the Platform only for:
- Official government or organizational purposes related to crime data analysis
- Generating reports and insights for public safety initiatives
- Trend analysis and statistical research
- Authorized data management tasks
4.2 Prohibited Uses
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Platform for personal gain or unauthorized purposes
- Access, copy, or distribute crime data outside of authorized channels
- Share sensitive information with unauthorized parties
- Attempt to breach security measures or gain unauthorized access
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform
- Introduce viruses, malware, or malicious code
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data without authorization
- Impersonate other users or falsify your identity
- Use the Platform in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation
5. Data and Privacy
5.1 Data Collection
By using the Platform, you acknowledge that we collect and process your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
5.2 Crime Data Confidentiality
- Crime data accessed through the Platform is confidential and sensitive
- You must not disclose, share, or distribute crime data to unauthorized parties
- You must handle all data in accordance with applicable data protection laws
- You must use crime data solely for authorized official purposes
5.3 Google OAuth
If you choose to authenticate using Google OAuth, you acknowledge that Google's privacy policies and terms apply to that authentication process. We only collect minimal information necessary for authentication (email and name).
6. Intellectual Property Rights
6.1 Platform Ownership
The Platform, including all software, code, design, graphics, text, and content (excluding user-generated crime data), is owned by AlerTaraQC or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
6.2 Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform solely for authorized purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license does not include:
- Any right to modify, distribute, or create derivative works
- Any right to reverse engineer or decompile the Platform
- Any right to use the Platform for commercial purposes outside your official duties
6.3 Crime Data Ownership
All crime data processed through the Platform remains the property of AlerTaraQC and the Republic of the Philippines. Users do not acquire any ownership rights to this data.
7. Session Management and Security
- User sessions expire after 1 hour of inactivity for security purposes
- You must log out when finished using the Platform, especially on shared devices
- We implement industry-standard security measures including password hashing, CSRF protection, and secure session management
- You must report any security vulnerabilities to the system administrator immediately
8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
8.1 "As-Is" Basis
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING:
- The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of crime data
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Platform
- The security or confidentiality of data transmission
- The suitability of the Platform for any particular purpose
8.2 Data Accuracy
While we strive to provide accurate crime data, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data displayed on the Platform. Users should verify critical information through official channels.
8.3 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALERTARAQC AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Damages arising from unauthorized access to your account
- Damages resulting from reliance on Platform data
- Damages caused by force majeure events beyond our control
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AlerTaraQC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your unauthorized use or disclosure of crime data
- Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Your infringement of third-party rights
10. Termination
10.1 Termination by You
You may request termination of your account at any time by contacting the system administrator.
10.2 Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in unauthorized use of crime data
- Your employment or authorization with AlerTaraQC ends
- We suspect fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activity
- Required by law or government order
10.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your access to the Platform will be immediately revoked
- You must cease all use of the Platform and crime data
- You must return or destroy any downloaded data in your possession
- Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive will continue to apply
11. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by:
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Posting a notice on the Platform
- Sending an email notification (for significant changes)
Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Platform.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quezon City, Philippines.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AlerTaraQC regarding the use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
16. No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of AlerTaraQC.
17. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms or our rights hereunder without restriction.
